In this role, you will: Providing HR system functional support at a global level for a variety of task; including but not limited to: Assist payroll users in processing production Payrolls and resolve payroll queries raised by business/operations with-in agreed timelines. Good To Have Skills: Upgradation, Migrations, expertise in Performance tuning, MySQL/AWS Aurora and PostgreSQL Database Administration Roles & Responsibilities: MySQL/Azure Database for MySQL – Flexible Server/AWS RDS MySQL • Develop, design, and maintain highly available and scalable databases. • Resolve production database issues including database tuning, optimization, and database recovery. • Perform MySQL installation, upgrades, data migration across homogeneous and heterogeneous multiple database server architectures/systems. • Monitor the performance of production databases, identify areas where performance needs to be improved and provide fixes/solutions for the performance issues. • Develop database tools to automate existing database tasks. • Respond appropriately to emergency technical support situations and produce quick and effective solutions to database technical problems under high pressure. • Work with database personnel to design physical and logical databases to support present / future business applications. • Participate in an on-call rotation and other duties as defined by management. Must be able to work 24/7 rotational shifts. • Managing Client requests independently. • Performing database failover and switchover activities in Azure Database for MySQL – Flexible Server, ensuring high availability and business continuity best practices are followed. • Hands-on experience with Azure Database for MySQL features such as Flexible Server HA, zone-redundant deployments, scaling, and maintenance window configurations, along with a solid understanding of cloud-based high availability concepts. • Zeal to perform under strict deadlines and continuously learn new tools/technologies, especially in Azure ecosystem. • Troubleshooting database & performance issues, optimizing queries, and tuning configurations at the database level to enhance overall system responsiveness. • Monitoring and analyzing Azure monitoring logs and alerts (Azure Monitor, Log Analytics, Metrics, Alerts), addressing issues proactively to ensure uninterrupted service. • Good exposure to backup and recovery methods in Azure Database for MySQL, including point-in-time restore (PITR) and cross-region backups. • Exposure to community-based tools and utilities for MySQL performance monitoring, schema comparison, and automation. • Supporting database migrations (on-prem Azure or cross-region), version upgrades, and patching activities, ensuring seamless transitions with minimal downtime. Professional & Technical Skills: Experience in working with managed databases on the cloud like Azure Database for MySQL – Flexible Server, MySQL on Azure VMs (IaaS), RDS MySQL and Aurora. Experience in incremental backup and schedule backup. Experience with MySQL and Managing Azure MySQL Cluster. Expertise in snapshot, import/export, and DB optimization with the help of explained plans. Expertise in database migration from MyISAM format to Inno dB storage engine to increase performance and betterment of integrity constraints. Experience in performance tuning, Master/Master and Master/Slave Replication. Experience in database backup and restore. Experienced in upgrading MySQL/MariaDB server using in-place upgrade method for minor releases and logical upgrade method for major releases followed by MySQL/MariaDB Upgrade utility. Strong technical knowledge in Azure PaaS MySQL, AWS RDS, Aurora MySQL. Professional Attributes: 1. Good communication skills and ability to articulate technical issues/requirements accurately and succinctly in a manner that business users can understand. 2. Good presentation skills. 3. Ability to multi-task and participate in large, complex, and concurrent projects. 4. Good to have Azure Administrator/ AWS Database specialty certified Additional Information: - The candidate should have minimum 3 years of experience in MySQL Database Administration. - This position is based at our Noida office. - A 15 years full time education is required. 15 years full time education
