The Role Infrastructure Specialists at Kyndryl are project-based subject matter experts in all things infrastructure - good at providing analysis, documenting and diagraming work for hand-off, offering timely solutions, and generally figuring it out. Responsibilities: To ensure 100% uptime for MS-SQL Databases Perform health check of all the databases and ensure 100% database compliance Perform Maintenance activities as per schedule to ensure performance of databases Ensure successful backup of databases Perform Database upgrades / Patches / Hardening / performance tuning / Job scheduling / Job Monitoring. Perform Database Restoration on request Prepare and Publish Database Reports whenever required Prepare SOP documents and keep up to date. Call logging and resolution for incidents / Service requests related to Databases issues / activities Ensure SLA on Uptime of MS-SQL Databases Perform Database restorations / DR Drills / Data extraction as per client requirement Provide necessary support for client Audit Troubleshoot the issues related to Database and resolve quickly as per SLA. Ensure optimum Database performance by tuning the DB parameters Perform database backups and refreshes Plan, implement and maintain security at the database level and server level Work as part of a team and provide on-call supports when required. Setup and maintain documentation and standards. Do general technical trouble shooting and give consultation to development teams. Required Technical and Professional Experience Be able to provide all levels of database support and off-hours support on a rotating basis. Minimum 5 to 8 Years of Work Experience with minimum 4-6 years of relevant experience Formulates policies, procedures, and standards relating to database management, and monitors transaction activity and utilization. Excellent professionalism, communication, and interpersonal skills Recent experience in MS SQL Server versions 2005/2008/2012/2014. Expertise with SQL log shipping /Replication Configuration and troubleshooting. Experience in troubleshooting and resolving database problems. Experience in Performance Tuning and Optimization (PTO), using native monitoring and troubleshooting tools and DMV's Experience with backups, restores and recovery models. Practical Knowledge of High Availability (HA) and Disaster Recovery (DR) options for MS SQL Server. Experience of indexes, index management, and statistics.
