Job Description: We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Engineering Manager to lead the layout designing activities for our solar projects across India and Nepal. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in solar engineering and extensive experience in designing layouts for both ground mount and rooftop installations. This role offers an exciting opportunity to play a key leadership role in shaping the future of renewable energy in India and driving the success of our projects. Responsibilities: 1. Preliminary assessment of new Ground Mount & Rooftop Site (Capacity Estimation, EYA, Basic Engineering such as Layout & SLD). 2. Detailed assessment of Energy yield for upcoming project & PPA Document (CET/Energy Table). 3. Engineering representative to Client & Leading the meeting on techno-commercial front. 4. Detailed engineering on DC & AC (Engineering & Execution drawing, Calculation, Spreadsheet) preparation as per MDL/Set of requirements for project execution. 5. Drawing review from drafting team for good for construction clearance. 6. Technology & Equipment Selection (Module, Inverter, Cables, Transformer, HV & LV Panels, SCADA, WMS, Battery & Charger, Instrument & protection transformer, Metering & protection equipmentetc.). 7. Vendor development & selection, Techno-commercial optimization. 8. Coordination with project & SCM for clarification on techno-commercial along with decision making. 8. Approval on manufacturing drawings, GTP, MQAP, Conducting inspection before dispatch. 9. Coordination with execution team for technical clarification during execution. 10. Coordination with testing team during commissioning, Document preparation as per DISCOM requirements for SCOD. 11. Performance analysis of operating assets under O&M & Guiding team for corrective & preventive maintenance. 12. Team assessment for performance & skill development along with site visit as required. 13. Helping O&M team for understanding technical know-how of plant technology, Setting up generation target, Review of Daily & monthly performance report. Desirable Skills: 1. Basic knowledge of energy storage setup, Microgrid & Its application in sustainable development of remote areas. 2. Basic knowledge of Power electronics & its application. 3. Data Analysis. Key Responsibilities: System Design & Engineering: Lead the design and engineering of solar PV panels, including layout planning, electrical schematics, and structural design. Technical Analysis: Perform energy yield analysis, load flow studies, and fault current calculations using industry-standard software. Equipment Selection: Evaluate and select key components such as solar panels, inverters, transformers, and mounting structures. AC/DC side experience. Compliance & Standards: Ensure designs meet national and international standards (IEC, NEC, IEEE, etc.), local regulatory requirements, and grid codes. Project Coordination: Collaborate with project managers, procurement teams, and construction teams to ensure design feasibility and execution alignment. Site Assessment: Conduct site visits for feasibility studies, shadow analysis, and geotechnical evaluations. Documentation & Reporting: Prepare technical drawings, design reports, and bill of materials for project execution. Innovation & Optimization: Implement best practices and innovative solutions to enhance project efficiency and cost-effectiveness. Stakeholder Communication: Coordinate with consultants, clients, and regulatory bodies for design approvals and technical discussions. Qualifications & Experience: Bachelor's/Masters degree in Electrical Engineering. Minimum 3-8 years of experience in solar power plant design and engineering. Proficiency in design software such as AutoCAD, PVSyst, Helioscope, ETAP, and STAAD Pro. Strong understanding of electrical power systems, structural engineering, and solar PV technology.
Role & responsibilities: Identify and develop new B2B and industrial scale solar project sales in solar EPC, rooftop, and ground-mounted segments. Stay updated with the latest MNRE, SECI, State government policies, DISCOM rules, net metering guidelines, and available incentive schemes to include them effectively in client proposals. Connect with senior-level decision-makers to discuss strategic sales opportunities and close long-term contracts under CAPEX (client-owned), RESCO (third-party investment), or hybrid (shared ownership or custom) business models. Develop and implement go-to-market strategies, target account plans, and business expansion roadmaps. Conduct site assessments, energy audits, and load profiling in coordination with technical experts. Collaborate with internal engineering, design, and project execution teams to deliver customized solar PV solutions, ensuring technical viability and compliance with applicable codes and standards. Key Requirements: Bachelors degree in Electrical, Energy Systems, or a related discipline. (MBA in Marketing/Power Management is a plus). 2 to 5 years of hands-on experience in solar EPC sales, business development, or strategic partnerships, preferably in industrial/commercial sectors. Solid understanding of solar PV system design principles, components (inverters, modules, BOS), energy yield assessment, LCOE, and techno-commercial evaluations. Experience in working with third-party consultants, PPA structuring, BOQ finalization, and contract negotiation.
