As a Site Supervisor for building renovation or remodelling in Kolkata, your role involves overseeing day-to-day operations to ensure work is completed on time, within budget, and in compliance with safety and quality standards. Key Responsibilities: - Supervise and coordinate workers and subcontractors at the renovation/remodelling site. - Monitor construction progress to meet specifications, drawings, and timelines. - Conduct daily site inspections for safety compliance and work quality. - Plan work schedules and allocate tasks efficiently. - Collaborate with clients, architects, and engineers to resolve technical issues. - Manage site materials, tools, and equipment effectively. - Maintain records of daily progress, materials used, and incidents. - Ensure compliance with building codes, permits, and regulations. - Identify and address problems promptly to avoid delays and budget overruns. - Train and mentor junior workers for skilled labour utilization. Qualifications & Skills: - Minimum 3-5 years of supervisory experience in construction or renovation. - Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, tools, and equipment. - Ability to interpret architectural and engineering drawings. - Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving abilities. - Hands-on experience in residential or commercial renovation projects preferred. - Familiarity with construction safety and quality standards. - Basic computer skills for reporting and documentation (MS Office, construction apps, etc.). Educational Requirements: - Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related field (preferred). - Additional technical certifications or trade licenses are a plus.
