Overview Remedy Developer Sustaining & Maintenance Focus (On-Premise, Remedy 7 and Above) Overview We are seeking an experienced Remedy Developer with strong familiarity in on-premise BMC Remedy environments, version 7 and above, to join our team. This role primarily focuses on sustaining and maintaining existing Remedy ITSM systems deployed on-premise, ensuring system stability, troubleshooting issues, and delivering minor enhancements. The ideal candidate thrives in a maintenance-driven environment and has proven skills in supporting complex on-prem Remedy landscapes. Responsibilities Key Responsibilities Provide ongoing administration, monitoring, and maintenance of on-premise BMC Remedy systems (version 7 and above), including servers, mid-tier, core application, and database components. Troubleshoot and resolve Remedy application and infrastructure issues, delivering Level 3 support to end-users and internal stakeholders. Manage Remedy system health, including multi-application server configurations, performance tuning, and patching/upgrades in on-prem environments. Implement minor enhancements, bug fixes, and workflow optimizations to improve existing on-prem Remedy applications. Collaborate closely with infrastructure, database, and security teams to ensure Remedy on-prem environments are secure, stable, and compliant with IT policies. Track, document, and communicate system changes, incidents, and resolutions to project leads and management. Adhere strictly to IT security, data governance, and system administration best practices for on-prem deployments. Participate in periodic on-call rotations to support Remedy systems outside regular business hours. Maintain up-to-date technical documentation, runbooks, and user guides reflecting the on-prem Remedy environment. Stay informed on Remedy best practices, ITIL standards, and vendor updates relevant to on-prem sustaining operations. Required Qualifications Minimum 5 years of experience supporting and developing in on-prem BMC Remedy environments, with strong familiarity of Remedy version 7 and above. Experience configuring and customizing Remedy ITSM Suite (version 7, 8.x, or 9.x) in on-prem deployments. Proven troubleshooting skills resolving Remedy system and application issues in on-premise settings. Deep knowledge of Remedy AR System architecture, Developer Studio, and Atrium CMDB in on-prem environments. Proficiency in SQL, JavaScript, XML, and Remedy workflow/configuration. Solid understanding of ITIL processes, especially incident, problem, and change management. Experience with Remedy system administration tasks including multi-tier architecture support, server configurations, and patch management. Strong communication skills and ability to document technical processes and solutions. Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or equivalent work experience. Preferred Qualifications Experience with Remedy Helix SaaS/Cloud is a plus, but primary focus remains on on-premise Remedy. Familiarity with VMware ESXi, Windows Server platforms, and database management in on-prem Remedy environments. Experience automating sustaining tasks through scripting. Comfortable working within ITIL-driven, operational support teams. Exposure to ITSM reporting and monitoring tools for on-prem Remedy. Additional Information This role is predominantly sustaining and maintenance-focused, supporting critical on-premise Remedy ITSM systems. Occasional minor enhancements and optimizations will be part of the work scope. Candidates must be comfortable working in a support-driven environment with on-call responsibilities to ensure Remedy system availability and performance.
