Summary: We are seeking a passionate and skilled UAV Engineer to join our drone development team. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in designing, prototyping, assembling, and testing unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs), with a strong understanding of all major UAV subsystems. You will be responsible for bringing concepts to life from initial design to fully functional flight-ready systems. Responsibilities Design, prototype, and test UAV hardware systems for multicopter platforms. Assemble mechanical, electrical, and electronic subsystems into complete UAV systems. Solder components, integrate wiring harnesses, and ensure proper electrical connections. Fabricate custom drone parts using CNC, 3D printing, or other manufacturing processes. Install and configure flight controllers, sensors, and peripheral systems. Load, troubleshoot, and update flight control software and firmware. Conduct subsystem-level and full-system testing to ensure operational reliability. Work closely with design, software, and testing teams to ensure system integration. Maintain documentation of builds, wiring diagrams, and assembly procedures. Ensure compliance with safety standards and industry best practices. Qualifications Education & Experience: BE/B.Tech in Electronics, Electrical, Mechatronics, Aerospace, Mechanical, Robotics, or related engineering disciplines. Minimum 10 participation certificates in national or international robotics competitions (e.g., Techfest, Technozion, Techkriti, Shaastra IITM etc.). Skills & Knowledge: Strong understanding of UAV subsystems propulsion, power systems, control systems, telemetry, and structural design. Proficiency in soldering, wiring, and electronic component integration. Familiarity with UAV design tools (e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD, Fusion 360) is an advantage. Experience with flight controller setup (Pixhawk, Cube, etc.) and firmware (ArduPilot, PX4). Knowledge of GPS, IMU, ESC, and communication module integration. Hands-on experience in fabrication techniques 3D printing, laser cutting, CNC machining. Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work under tight deadlines.
