Role Overview: The Macquarie User Access Management Transformation Program presents an opportunity for engineers to innovate, design, build, and maintain solutions. As a member of the Site Reliability Engineering team, your responsibility will be to ensure the reliability, performance, and efficiency of systems and services that govern user access management controls and operations. Key Responsibilities: - Identify opportunities to automate and eliminate manual tasks within the User Access Management domain, including User Access Reviews, Access Provisioning, and Role-Based Access Controls - Collaborate with engineering teams at Macquarie to develop and implement SRE best practices and tooling across the organization - Engage closely with the engineering community to address significant challenges as part of an embedded SRE team - Participate in projects focused on measuring, testing, and enhancing resilience, capacity planning, change management, and observability in the system Qualifications Required: - 4 to 9 years of strong experience in any scripting language with expertise in any cloud platform - Proficiency in log monitoring tools and solid DevOps fundamentals, with a preference for Java, Golang, and Microservices - Ability in software engineering and system design utilizing Java, including Root Cause Analysis and troubleshooting/debugging Java applications in production - Understanding of SLOs, metrics, logs, and traces, and their correct usage and benefits - Excellent knowledge of reliability patterns such as circuit breakers, rate limiting, bulkheads, etc., and their implementation at scale to enhance customer experience - Familiarity with the impending AI wave and readiness to leverage AI for productivity and product enhancements - Experience with Application Performance Monitoring (APM) and Observability tools Additional Company Details: At Macquarie, you will be part of a diverse and inclusive team where everyone's ideas and contributions are valued, regardless of their role.
