We are hiring for the role of Field Service Engineer To conduct electrical tests and supervise overhauling of Medium and High Voltage Rotating Machines (like big size industrial electrical motors and alternators). This requires that the engineer along with his team and equipment travel to customer sites (all over India and sometimes abroad) a. follow customer protocols for safety, gate-pass for team and material b. interact with customer to explain the requirements based on scope of work c. make safety assessment of the site, arrange for work permits, wear PPE as per job requirement. d. conduct the job activities following the Standard Operating Procedures e. arrange for wrapping up after work completion f. explain some results, observations, key findings to customer g. prepare Minutes of Meeting listing the scope completion as per work order and getting signatures of customers on safety documents, test results, MoM. h. arrange for safe return of self, team and material. The site jobs can be from 2 days to 14 days (most of the time). Seldom some ARC jobs can be extended for a few months, where the engineer will be stationed at the location (for 3 to 6 months, with few breaks).. Sometimes, post completion the team can return back to site/home. Sometimes, they need to mobilize to another site directly after completion of first site. Job Location: The nature of the job is that the engineer will be at customer industrial sites (all over India and sometimes outside India). So when there is no site work For Mumbai, Navi-Mumbai candidates, the job location is a. Panvel (Navi-Mumbai) For candidates outside of Mumbai, Navi-Mumbai b. Work from home. (if a site comes, they can move to site directly. After work completion, return back home, if there are no sites immediately after) Job Skills: For this activity, require following a. Good knowledge of HT Motors and Generators and Basic Electrical Engineering i. Construction (Stator, Rotor) ii. Working principle Induction Motor, Synchronous machine iii. Instrumentation like resistance measurement, Schering bridge etc. iv. Understanding circuits, power line diagrams, switchgear, CT/PT b. Team skills to work with technicians, colleagues c. Communication skills – English, Hindi to be able to develop good relationships with customers, to be able to email. d. Like travel. Work requires travelling all over India – different states using bus/train/flight and being at a location for 3 to 45 days (usually 15-20 days a month). e. Strong, positive personality and confidence attitude. Training will be given – In addition to theoretical training, practically on site training by observing Sr. Engineers/technicians for the technical scope, safety and environmental aspects. Job Experience: a. High preference for candidates with 2 or more years of experience in electrical testing at sites b. Roles and Responsibilities Perform electrical maintenance, repairs, and installations of DG sets, transformers, control panels, and other electrical equipment. Troubleshoot and resolve complex electrical faults using knowledge of relays, sensors, servo motors, PLCs, VFDs, and control panel wiring. Collaborate with the maintenance department to prioritize tasks and allocate resources effectively. Ensure compliance with safety protocols and regulations during all electrical works.

Role & responsibilities Switchyard Electrical Erection: Execute the installation and alignment of switchyard equipment, including power and distribution transformers, insulators, isolators, CTs, PTs, GIS (Gas-Insulated Switchgear), and circuit breakers. Supervise erection of electrical equipment in 400kV and 220kV switchyards, ensuring adherence to project plans and technical specifications. Erection of power and distribution transformers, insulators, isolators, CTs (Current Transformers), and PTs (Potential Transformers). 2. Relay, Testing, and Commissioning: Relay protection, Auto re-closer, and SCADA system integration for high-voltage systems. Troubleshooting of all electrical circuits, controls, and protection circuits. Conduct testing and commissioning of HT (High Tension) and LT (Low Tension) motors, transformers, circuit breakers, CTs, PTs, CVTs, and reactors. Perform interlock, synchronization, and functional checks for GIS bays up to 400kV. Testing and commissioning of all electrical equipment at various voltage levels, including DG load tests and FFPH systems. Conduct testing and commissioning of power and distribution transformers. Relay testing, troubleshooting, and calibration. Circuit breaker testing and validation, including mechanical and electrical performance checks. 3. Project Execution: Lead project execution from the installation phase to handover, coordinating with teams and ensuring safety and quality standards are maintained. Testing of CTs (Current Transformers), PTs (Potential Transformers), breakers, bus bar CRM (Contact Resistance Measurement), transformer testing, REF (Restricted Earth Fault) and SEF (Sensitive Earth Fault) protection, and cable Hi-pot testing. Perform power transformer testing, ICT (Interconnecting Transformer) testing, reactor testing, and motor no-load testing. Oversee electrical execution from planning to handover in compliance with project specifications. Coordinate with contractors, vendors, and clients to ensure smooth project execution. Ensure adherence to safety standards and regulatory compliance during the execution phase. 4. Quality Assurance and Documentation: Ensure compliance with industry standards for electrical testing and commissioning, ensuring all equipment functions as per design. Document all testing, commissioning, and troubleshooting activities, including results and reports for future reference. 5. Documentation and Reporting: Prepare testing and commissioning reports, technical documentation, and project completion certificates. Maintain detailed records of all tests, results, and commissioning data for future reference. Preferred candidate profile 4+ years of experience in 220kV and 400kV switchyard erection, testing, and commissioning. Expertise in relay protection, Auto re-closers, SCADA systems, and electrical equipment testing. Knowledge of high-voltage systems and standards, including CT, PT, transformer testing, and circuit breaker testing. Proficiency with testing and commissioning tools for high-voltage systems. Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills for electrical circuits and protection systems. Ability to work under tight deadlines while managing complex projects. Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
