As the Lead Quality Assurance Engineer at Syniverse, you will play a crucial role in designing and developing the QA management systems and tools of the organization. Your responsibilities will include defining test requirements, automating test procedures, and ensuring an exceptional user experience for Syniverse's customers. Prior to product launches, you will conduct tests to guarantee smooth software functionality that meets client needs in a cost-effective manner. Your primary duties and responsibilities will involve working from Jira requirements to create test plans, providing input to team leads and stakeholders, managing test plans and schedules, assigning tasks, tracking project deliverables, consulting with Development for test data identification, diagnosing test results, documenting product defects, executing test scripts, and initiating modifications when necessary. Additionally, you will provide daily test statuses, actively participate in product and project team meetings, stay updated on business needs and technology trends, and develop data validation scripts to verify data integrity. You will be responsible for conducting performance and scalability testing of ETL processes, identifying bottlenecks, optimizing ETL workflows, establishing regression test suites, automating regression testing, documenting test cases and results, maintaining documentation for ETL processes and data mappings, creating and documenting errors and defects in Jira, collaborating with various teams and stakeholders, investigating and troubleshooting data-related issues, and working with the development team to resolve problems. Key requirements for this position include at least 7 years of experience in a QA role, proficiency in signaling protocols like GTP, Diameter, SIP, GSM, familiarity with Linux commands, SQL, Redis, Wireshark, experience in backend services testing and UI testing, and additional experience in programming with Python being preferred.
