Regulatory Capital Analyst

Role Overview: Join us as a Regulatory Capital Analyst in the Regulatory Capital Transaction Cycle team (Finance) at Barclays. As an Analyst, you will be responsible for supporting the Appian Product Owner/business analyst role in driving the build and design of new functionalities, as well as enhancing existing functionalities used primarily by the Reg Cap TC team and expanding to cover other business areas like Risk and Liquidity. Key Responsibilities: - Define User Story backlog, User Acceptance criteria, and Jira tickets. - Track JIRAs delivery for each sprint. - Prepare the adequate data set for UAT testing. - Perform UAT testing and provide feedback to the developers. - Update user guides. - Work with the business teams to formulate workflow improvements. - Support application users with any functionality-related queries. - Demonstrate solid analytical skills and proficiency with Microsoft Office applications. - Possess a Bachelor's degree or higher in Finance, Accounting, business administration, or IT preferred. - Have a few years of experience as a business analyst. Qualifications Required: - Good communication skills. - Understanding of Web-based enterprise software. - Broad understanding of regulations for capital reporting. - Adaptability, flexibility, and the ability to thrive in a challenging, fast-paced environment. - Good understanding of information technology. Additional Company Details: This role is based in our Chennai office. Purpose of the role: The purpose is to develop business capabilities for Finance through key stages of functional design, data, end-to-end-process and controls, delivery, and functional testing. Accountabilities: - Functional Design: Support options analysis and recommendations in collaboration with Line SMEs. - Data Analysis/Modelling/Governance: Design conceptual data model and governance requirements. - End-to-End Process & Controls: Develop target process and controls design/documentation. - Delivery/Implementation Support: Update design/functional requirements throughout the development cycle. - Functional Testing: Develop scripts and data to test alignment to requirement definitions.
