As a Hardware Design Engineer at India Nippon Electricals Limited in Hosur, Tamil Nadu, you will be responsible for designing and developing Regulator/Rectifier or DC-DC converter for 2-wheeler applications or EV charging systems. With a minimum of 1-3 years of experience, you will play a crucial role in finalizing concept designs in collaboration with the mechanical design team and performing SRS/Design input reviews. Your duties will include performing DFMEA/design calculations/analysis/simulation, defining circuits & components, choosing components, derating components, and preparing BOM. You will review design output documents, manage project timelines, and ensure timely delivery of HW design documentation such as schematics, BOM, and Gerber data. Additionally, you will define product testing and validation plans, including environmental and electrical validation plans encompassing EMI/EMC requirements. Collaborating with the validation team, you will oversee prototype board assembly & testing to ensure proper functionality. You will also engage in DFM activities, troubleshoot HW failures, perform root cause analysis, and define relevant safety mechanisms. Collaboration with mechanical engineers, product management, and manufacturing operations will be essential to develop and integrate electronic and electrical systems effectively. VA/VE activities, knowledge of EMI/EMC, and keeping HW costs within target limits are also crucial aspects of this role. To qualify for this position, you must hold a Bachelor of Technology (B.Tech) / Bachelor of Engineering (B.E) or M.Tech in Power Electronics.
