Job Description

Role Overview: As a Regional EHS lead for API at Sun Pharmaceutical Industries Ltd, you will provide strategic direction and leadership for the Safety, Health, and Environment Teams, focusing on continuous performance improvement in EHS processes and building a culture of safety and sustainability. Key Responsibilities: - Lead internal organizational teams/committees to develop and deploy Safety, Health, and Environment (SHE) policies and objectives across the organization. - Guide sites to implement global EHS standards and interim actions. - Manage risk and emergency situations effectively. - Monitor and report on performance related to EHS. - Investigate and report EHS incidents. - Provide team management and guidance to ensure sites meet EHS requirements. - Assist plant personnel in implementing Corporate Environment & Sustainability standards and procedures. - Identify EHS risks during new product development or plant construction. - Maintain Process Safety Database and implement best practices. - Conduct Process Hazard Analysis (PHA) for all processes and ensure implementation of safety measures. - Create EHS awareness and promote a competitive environment among sites based on performance. - Develop training and capability development systems for site EHS teams. - Ensure EHS regulatory compliance at each site and support improvement efforts. - Share industrial EHS database and best practices among the EHS team. - Monitor standards implementation 24/7 and conduct periodic review meetings with EHS teams. - Develop and track regional EHS budget. Qualifications Required: - Bachelor's degree in chemical/mechanical/electrical/environmental engineering or Master's in Chemistry/Environmental Science with a postgraduate diploma in Industrial Safety Management. - At least 20 years of EHS experience in API/Petrochemical/Chemical operations. - Certification in EHS standards implementation and understanding of product manufacturing. - Skills in EHS standard implementation, statutory requirements, risk assessments, sustainability reporting, waste management, occupational health, process safety, and training. - Experience of 20+ years in the field.
