As a skilled individual responsible for the maintenance and operation of various systems and equipment, your primary duties will include the following: You will be tasked with preparing COD Reports, updating checklists, and compiling breakdown and incident reports. Additionally, you will be responsible for the operation, repair, and maintenance of refrigeration systems and various MHES such as RT, Forklift, BOPT, and HPTs. Your role will also involve handling utility and electrical/instrumentation maintenance tasks for panels, DB, UPS, stabilizers, and batteries. You will be expected to record ISO files, maintain history cards, monitor data loggers, track incoming product temperatures, and manage compressor logbooks and electricity consumption details on a daily basis. In the event of non-conformance, you will be required to conduct root cause analyses and implement corrective actions. Daily responsibilities will include inspecting and ensuring the proper functioning of the hydrant, sprinkler system, fire alarm, PA system, and CCTV systems. You will also conduct periodic checks on all fire extinguishers and oversee the refilling schedule. Organizing and facilitating safety-related training sessions and maintaining safety records are essential aspects of this role. You will be responsible for conducting periodic mock drills focused on fire, evacuation, electrocution, and medical emergencies. Upholding a safety-conscious environment by reporting near misses, unsafe conditions, and unsafe acts is crucial. Your duties will extend to operating, inspecting, and maintaining DG sets, earth pits, lightning arresters, water pumps, docks, doors, and refrigerated trucks. It will be your responsibility to renew licenses and certificates and keep records of diesel consumption, water usage, electricity consumption, and other consumables. Maintaining DG maintenance reports and spare parts lists will also fall within your purview. Furthermore, you will be expected to carry out energy-efficient activities and proactively plan and implement preventive maintenance measures while maintaining detailed records of these activities. As a Mechanical Engineer based in Shrirampur, you will report to the Plant Maintenance Manager in the Engineering & Maintenance department. You are required to hold a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering (BE) and possess a minimum of 7-8 years of experience in the Mechanical Maintenance field, preferably within the Dairy Processing industry. Your responsibilities will include maintaining various equipment used in Food / Dairy processing such as Milk Dryers, Cheese, Paneer, Milk Pre-processing, and more. You should have experience with a range of Dairy Processing equipment including Rotary Equipment, Centrifugal, Lobes, Gear, Vacuum, High-Pressure Pumps, Gearbox, Agitators, Mixers, High-Speed Machines, Separators, Bactofuge, Decanters, Air Compressors, Refrigeration Systems, Boilers, and HVAC systems. Your role will involve anticipating, understanding, and resolving maintenance issues using your analytical skills. You will collaborate with shift engineers and the production team to ensure machine availability, maintain checklists, and adhere to Food safety and Human safety standards. Additionally, you will be responsible for diagnosing machinery breakdowns, identifying maintenance-prone areas, and implementing corrective actions to prevent recurring issues. Other duties include maintaining historical records, daily log books, ISO documents, certifying bills for outsourced jobs, planning and executing shutdown jobs, managing spare parts inventory, and preparing monthly maintenance presentations. You will also be involved in inspecting, instructing, training, and developing technicians in best engineering practices. Experience with Total Productive Maintenance (TPM), Quality Management Systems (QMS), ISO Systems, and SAP will be beneficial in this role. Role & responsibilities Perform maintenance and servicing of refrigeration and air conditioning systems. Prepare detailed call reports and coordinate with other technicians to complete maintenance and project work. Install, maintain, and repair ventilation and air conditioning systems and related equipment. Identify maintenance risks on various equipment and take preventive actions. Diagnose electrical and mechanical faults in HVAC systems. Respond to emergency repair needs promptly and efficiently. Maintain daily logs and records of all maintenance activities. Ensure all work complies with appliance standards and Occupational Health and Safety regulations. Preferred candidate profile Minimum 1 year of relevant experience in air conditioning and refrigeration maintenance. Must be able to communicate and write in Bengali , Hindi , and English (particularly for writing Field Service Reports). Proficient in troubleshooting and repairing HVAC systems. Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and schematics. Hands-on experience with tools and equipment used in AC and refrigeration maintenance.
