As an HVAC Engineer, you will be responsible for demonstrating a thorough understanding of basic refrigeration & Heating systems part/components and their applications. You will need to read and understand equipment wiring diagrams and be able to troubleshoot and repair based on the above knowledge. Proficiency in the diagnosis of HVAC controls and equipment problems is essential, and you will need to recommend the repair or replacement of said equipment as to be in the best interest of the customer. It is also crucial to perform the recovery and charging of refrigerants used in AC equipment and to follow all EPA mandates for refrigerant recovery. Your role will involve diagnosing causes of problems and/or failures in Heating/air conditioning systems for the purpose of identifying equipment and/or systems repair and/or replacement needs.
