Job Role: Sr. Linux & storage Admin Responsibilities: Install, upgrade, and maintain Linux based systems such as Red Hat, Ubuntu, CentOS on on-prem as well as Azure Cloud. Troubleshoot problems with Linux servers, running various versions of Linux, including Red Hat, Ubuntu, CentOS on on-prem as well as Azure Cloud. Engage in continuous testing of new Linux versions on on-prem as well as Azure Cloud. Ensure systems always comply with security policies, including vulnerability assessment, patching, and hardening. Respond promptly to incidents, investigate & provide temporary &/or permanent resolution of incidents escalated. Provide timely status updates to relevant parties and management. Manage system changes through change request process & provide status reports to the relevant parties. Monitor & measure the performance & availability of systems proactively; implement corrective actions identified to improve performance & availability. Proactive capacity planning and report to Sr. Management Collaborate with other teams and team members to develop automation strategies and deployment processes. Create and modify scripts or applications to perform tasks. Manage Backup/Monitoring/Antivirus/Nessus/Qradar endpoint. Manage various HA cluster. Ensure daily/weekly/monthly backup are performed successfully on daily basis. Documentation Create/Update SOPs and desk side notes. Exceptionally good written and verbal communication skills Understand and provide input in designing of the infrastructure with optimized approach. Operate Storage in main Datacenter and DR site. Providing operational support of the Dell EMC PowerStore, Dell EMC, HPE NAS environment. Create, manage, and maintain FCIP replications configurations between main site and DR. Administer and maintain SAN configuration and operations. Create, manage, and maintain storage configurations and replication between main site and DR. Create and manage Storage Pools, Volumes, Snapshots Conduct regular performance tuning for the hosted storage system. Ensure License compliance for Storage and SAN environment. Work with technology providers to upgrade Storages operating system, and Firmware to new versions. Keep up to date documentation for the storage, diagrams, and baselines. Provides system administration and maintenance support on Linux, VMware/Hyper-V, Windows, and UNIX-based environments in client/server, network, and data storage capacities.
