Support the department head in all aspects of the recreation and fitness areas, including maintenance, daily upkeep, cleanliness, and equipment operation. Provide and model exemplary service behavior to guests and team members. Focus on improving guest satisfaction and maximizing financial performance in assigned areas. Apply professional knowledge in recreation and fitness operations to address business and guest needs. Demonstrate expertise in land and water-based recreation/fitness fundamentals. Lead fitness classes (e.g., aerobics, spinning, strength training), warm-ups, and stretching sessions. Identify health conditions and distress signals in participants to ensure safety. Possess and apply knowledge of national fitness certifications (e.g., AFFA, ACE, NFPT). Demonstrate and maintain fitness equipment (cardio, weights, core/stability tools) safely and effectively. Adjust instruction based on audience needs and communicate clearly during group sessions. Generate enthusiasm and motivation among guests and fellow employees for recreational activities. Apply basic first aid and CPR when necessary; maintain awareness of safety protocols and supplies.
