Company Description reCharkha - The EcoSocial Tribe works on upcycling waste plastic bags and multilayered wrappers using traditional Charkha and Handloom techniques, thereby enabling livelihoods for tribal women and youth. The sustainable products made by reCharkha serve as eco-friendly alternatives to market options made from virgin polyester or plastic, encouraging conscious consumerism for an EcoSocial planet. Role Description This is a full-time on-site role for a Social Media Executive located in Pune. The Social Media Executive will be responsible for developing and implementing social media strategies to enhance our brand presence. Daily tasks include social media marketing, media planning, writing content, optimizing social media platforms (SMO), and engaging with the online community to drive brand awareness and growth. Work days and hours: 6 days working, including Sunday, 11 am to 8 pm. Any one weekday will be off, pre-decided as per the candidate's convenience. Qualifications Strong skills in Social Media Marketing and Social Media Optimisation (SMO) Experience in Media Planning and Communication Proficient in writing engaging and relevant content Excellent verbal and written communication skills Ability to work on-site and collaborate effectively with team members Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, or a related field Experience in the sustainability or social enterprise sector is a plus

Key Responsibilities Develop and implement social media strategies aligned with reCharkha’s vision and campaigns. Create engaging content (posts, reels, stories, blogs, videos) that tells the story of our products, artisans, and impact. Manage and grow our presence on platforms such as Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, YouTube, and Twitter/X . Monitor, analyze, and report on social media performance and insights to drive improvements. Engage with our community: respond to queries, comments, and messages in a timely and authentic way. Coordinate with the design, sales, and operations team to highlight new products, collaborations, and events . Stay up-to-date with sustainability trends, social media trends, and digital marketing innovations Key Requirements: Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Mass Communication, Media Studies, or related field . 1–3 years of relevant experience in social media management, content creation, or digital marketing . Strong storytelling ability with excellent written and verbal communication skills. Proficiency in Canva, Photoshop, video editing tools, or similar creative software . Knowledge of analytics tools (Meta Business Suite, Google Analytics, etc.) . Passion for sustainability, environment, and social change . Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a small team environment.
