The role of HR Assistant at our organization involves assisting with various HR functions to ensure the smooth running of human resource programs for the India office. You will report to the Director of HR Talent & Culture and collaborate with departmental managers to identify skills and competencies required for open positions. Your responsibilities will include screening recruitment, coordinating interviews, and supporting the hiring process for qualified job applicants. Additionally, you will play a key role in new hire onboarding processes, including orientation, training coordination, and other HR-related tasks as needed. In this role, you will be responsible for administering and executing HR programs such as compensation, benefits, and leaves for the India office. You will also document and maintain HR policies and employee guidelines, aligning them with the US offices where applicable. Handling employment-related inquiries from applicants, employees, and supervisors will be part of your daily tasks, with a focus on referring complex matters to the appropriate staff. Maintaining HR company records, personnel files, and ensuring legal compliance with local employment regulations will be crucial aspects of your responsibilities. You may also participate in employee disciplinary meetings, terminations, and investigations when necessary. Additionally, you will assist with supply ordering, office emergency aid inventory, and front desk reception duties as needed, including visitor management and mail handling. The ideal candidate for this role should have 3-5 years of HR experience, preferably within a CRO, health care, research, or science environment. Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint is required, along with knowledge of employment-related laws and regulations. Strong interpersonal skills, excellent communication abilities, and a can-do attitude are essential for success in this role. This is a full-time, permanent position with benefits such as cell phone reimbursement and paid time off. The work schedule includes Monday to Friday shifts, including night shifts and US shifts as needed.
