Specific Duties and Responsibilities: Inventory Management: Monitor and control raw material inventory levels. Conduct physical inventories and cycle counts to ensure accuracy. Utilize inventory management systems to track stock and optimize warehousing space. Receiving, Storing, and Dispatching: Oversee the receiving and inspection of raw materials, ensuring compliance with quality standards. Manage the storage of materials in the warehouse, optimizing space utilization and ensuring proper organization. Coordinate the dispatch and transportation of raw materials to production areas or other locations. Team Management: Supervise and manage warehouse staff, including training, performance evaluation, and scheduling. Promote a positive and productive work environment, fostering teamwork and collaboration. Safety and Compliance: Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and company policies. Maintain a safe and clean working environment, addressing potential hazards and implementing safety procedures. Warehouse Operations: Plan and implement warehouse layouts, optimizing space utilization and material flow. Maintain the physical condition of the warehouse, ensuring proper maintenance and repair. Monitor and improve warehouse efficiency, reducing costs and optimizing operations. Reporting and Documentation: Maintain accurate records of warehouse activities, including inventory levels, receipts, and shipments. Generate reports on warehouse performance, identifying areas for improvement and tracking key metrics. Liaise with other departments, such as procurement and production, to ensure smooth operations. Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities for improvement in warehouse operations and implement best practices. Stay current with industry trends and technologies, seeking ways to enhance efficiency and productivity. Strong ability to accurately record stock movements and identify discrepancies. Ability to lift and move heavy items, stand for long periods, and perform physical tasks as required Basic computer skills, including familiarity with inventory management software or ERP systems.
