As a Structural Steel Modeler at vConstruct, you will be responsible for creating high-quality deliverables and outputs on schedule. You will work independently to manage assigned tasks, closely collaborate with the project lead and project manager to plan project implementation, and ensure the accuracy and constructability of the structural steel models. Your key responsibilities will include carefully studying project documents such as drawings, details, RFIs, and addendums to identify missing information, discrepancies, and constructability issues. You will develop accurate 3D models for steel using Tekla software, participate in trade coordination meetings to incorporate changes in the model, and generate precise 2D drawing deliverables. Quality checks and meeting established quality metrics for projects will also be part of your role, along with project setup activities in Tekla. In addition to project-related tasks, you will communicate with clients regarding project deliverables, with most meetings scheduled between 5 PM and 10 PM IST. You will be expected to optimize technical and software workflows, provide training and coaching to team members, and explore automation opportunities to enhance current workflows. The ideal candidate for this role should be a detail-oriented team player with the ability to manage multiple tasks, produce quality work, and meet deadlines consistently. You should have a passion for construction processes, BIM, BIM software, and construction technology, along with over 3 years of hands-on experience in Tekla Structures or other 3D modeling tools.
