Job Description:

We are looking for a highly motivated and skilled Civil Engineer to join our dynamic team. This is an exciting opportunity for an individual with a background in civil engineering, a diploma in civil engineering, and hands-on experience with rebar Auto CAD Software, US rebar detailing, and estimation. As a Civil Engineer specializing in Rebar Detailing & Estimation, you will be involved in various aspects of design, planning, and execution for construction projects, with a particular focus on the detailing of reinforcing steel (rebar). You will work closely with project managers, and other engineers to ensure that the structural components of our projects are accurately detailed and estimated.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop detailed rebar drawings using Auto CAD software.
• Create accurate rebar schedules and material take-offs for a variety of civil and structural projects.
• Prepare cost estimates for rebar quantities based on project drawings and specifications.
• Collaborate with project teams to ensure all rebar detailing meets design and safety standards.
• Structural Design Support:
• Assist in reviewing and interpreting structural drawings to extract necessary information for rebar detailing.
• Apply engineering principles to ensure that the rebar is designed to meet the project's structural integrity and safety requirements.
• Ensure that the designs comply with local building codes and regulations.
• Project Coordination & Communication:
• Coordinate with engineers, project managers, and contractors to clarify technical details and resolve issues related to rebar detailing and estimation.
• Review project requirements and provide recommendations on rebar material specifications, placement, and quantity.
• Support the team in ensuring timely delivery of rebar details and material take-off estimates.
• Mathematical & Analytical Abilities:
• Use strong mathematical and analytical skills to calculate rebar quantities, determine optimal material usage, and provide accurate cost projections.
• Conduct feasibility analyses and optimize structural design for cost efficiency without compromising safety or quality.
• Documentation & Reporting:
• Maintain clear and accurate records of all rebar details, estimates, and project-related documentation.
• Provide progress reports and ensure that project documentation is up-to-date and compliant with industry standards.

Required Qualifications:

• Education:
• A diploma in Civil Engineering or a relevant field is required. A bachelor’s degree in civil engineering is a plus.
• Experience:
• 1-3 years of hands-on experience in rebar detailing, estimation, or related fields. Fresh graduates with relevant training or internships are welcome to apply.
• Technical Skills:
• Proficiency in “Auto CAD” software is Must.
• Experience with US rebar detailing standards and codes is highly desirable.
• Strong knowledge of structural design concepts and rebar placement techniques.
• Mathematical & Analytical Skills:
• Strong mathematical abilities, with a focus on geometry, algebra, and other essential calculations needed for accurate rebar estimation.
• Ability to think analytically and solve complex engineering problems in a fast-paced work environment.
• Communication Skills:
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, to interact with teams, contractors, and clients.
• Attention to Detail:
• High attention to detail to ensure the accuracy of rebar drawings and estimates.
• Work Ethic and Time Management:
• Ability to work efficiently within project timelines and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Knowledge of international building codes, particularly US standards, for rebar detailing.
• Familiarity with construction industry software such as AutoCAD.
• Previous experience in a construction or engineering environment.
