The role involves owning a key part of the user experience: the Discover Client on Android. You will execute strategic initiatives on the Android client side to deliver a seamless user experience. Collaborating with cross-functional teams in India and the US, you will ensure the success of the team and its mission. Your technical expertise will be crucial in managing project priorities, deadlines, and deliverables that align with Discover Android's goals. Responsibilities: - Deliver initiatives for Discover on Android client infrastructure supporting strategic goals. - Lead, mentor, and grow a team to develop client infrastructure focusing on rendering, reliability, latency, and logging. - Manage project priorities, deadlines, and deliverables while designing and implementing scalable applications. - Analyze the development cycle, identify areas for improvement, formulate proposals, and drive execution to enhance development productivity. - Review code developed by other engineers, provide feedback on style guidelines, code quality, testability, and efficiency. - Contribute to documentation and educational content, adapting based on product updates and user feedback. - Triage product or system issues, debug, track, and resolve by analyzing sources of issues and impact on hardware, network, or service quality. - Participate in or lead design reviews with peers and stakeholders to ensure high-quality solutions.
