About the job: Reach to Teach is a social impact organization that partners with State Education Departments to enhance systemic frameworks, thereby improving learning outcomes and fostering grade-appropriate learning for children in Government schools. Established in 2007, Reach to Teach has expanded its activities from working at the community and school level in rural areas of Gujarat to partnering with State Education Departments of Gujarat, Haryana, Arunachal Pradesh and Meghalaya on various initiatives aimed at the overall objective of strengthening the quality of education. Key responsibilities: 1. Conduct comprehensive desk reviews of national and international education policies, programs, and frameworks (e.g., NEP 2020, NCF, PARAKH, NPST, FLN Mission). 2. Analyse secondary datasets (e.g., UDISE+, NAS, ASER, PGI, DIKSHA) to extract insights related to access, equity, learning outcomes, and teacher development. Support the design and development of research frameworks, indicators, and tools (e.g., surveys, interview guides, observation rubrics). 3. Draft high-quality policy briefs, synthesis reports, and concept notes. 4. Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders, including education departments, academic institutions, and donor partners. 5. Present research findings in user-friendly formats (Word, Excel, PowerPoint). 6. Ensure that all research outputs are contextually grounded, evidence-based, and aligned with education goals. Requirements: 1. Bachelor's/master's degree in education, public policy, development studies, economics, sociology, or a related field. 2. Minimum 2 years of relevant work experience in education research, monitoring and evaluation, public policy, or a related domain. 3. Exposure to conducting desk reviews of education policies, frameworks, or programmes. 4. Basic experience in analyzing secondary data sets like UDISE+, NAS, ASER, or similar. 5. Demonstrated ability to synthesize information and contribute to the drafting of briefs, reports, or concept notes. 6. Comfortable preparing presentations and reports in MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
