R&D Verification Engineer II (Meshing)

As an R&D Verification Engineer II at Ansys, you will be joining the Meshing Development Unit (MDU) to conduct software testing of Ansys applications, such as Ansys Meshing in Workbench, Fluent-Meshing, and PyPrimeMesh. Your role will involve assessing the product's functionality and usability to ensure it meets customer needs and quality standards. You will collaborate with the product creation team and communicate with technical specialists to address product issues effectively. Your key responsibilities will include performing software product testing, developing tests for new features, creating and updating test plans, conducting various types of tests, detecting and reporting software defects, and working towards resolving product issues. You will also contribute to testing initiatives, work in different computing environments, and focus on maintaining customer trust by delivering products that align with customer expectations. To be successful in this role, you should have a Master's degree or foreign equivalent in Mechanical, Civil, or Aerospace Engineering, or a Bachelor's degree with 2 years of related experience. Additionally, you should have experience with implicit and explicit finite element analysis (FEA) and/or Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) analysis, strong knowledge of programming and scripting languages like Python, familiarity with software development processes, and proficiency in Windows and Linux operating systems. Preferred qualifications and skills include a Master's degree in Mechanical, Civil, or Aerospace Engineering, familiarity with meshing and solver products, a meticulous approach to work, effective communication skills, a passion for testing and quality assurance, problem-solving abilities, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, diverse, and dynamic team environment. Familiarity with computer-aided software engineering tools and engineering principles will be advantageous.
