R&D Verification Engineer

As an R&D Verification Engineer at Ansys, you will be an essential part of the Fluids Business Unit, responsible for conducting software testing of ANSYS Computational Fluid Dynamics applications. Your primary role will involve assessing the software to ensure it meets customer requirements in terms of functionality and usability while upholding the company's quality procedures. Working closely with the product creation team, you will conduct functional and regression testing in both manual and automated environments, verifying defect fixes and documenting software defect reports and enhancement requests. Adhering to standard techniques and procedures, you will play a key role in complying with the company's development and testing processes. Your expertise will be leveraged in a variety of computing environments, encompassing Windows and Linux operating systems as well as high-performance computing. A minimum educational requirement for this role includes a BS in Mechanical, Aerospace, or Chemical Engineering, or a related engineering field. Preferred qualifications consist of an MS in the same fields, coupled with a strong grasp of numerical methods and algorithms used in CFD, experience with Fluent CFD software, and proficiency in scripting languages like Python. Moreover, your role will demand solid computing skills, familiarity with both Linux and Windows platforms, a foundational understanding of software testing and verification processes, excellent communication and interpersonal abilities, as well as a knack for quick learning and collaboration within a geographically distributed team.,
