R&D Engineer Transformer Windings

As an R&D Mechanical Engineer specializing in Transformer Winding technology for HVDC Transformers at Hitachi Energy, you will play a crucial role in enhancing transformer winding performance, design, and manufacturing methods. Your responsibilities will include: - Creating conceptual designs of Transformer windings to meet specified requirements such as functional, technical, and quality aspects. - Generating detailed designs and 3D models, while conducting mechanical verifications through simulation tools. - Implementing Design for Excellence practices like DFA, DFM, and FMEA. - Ensuring that winding-related processes and calculation methods are cutting-edge, collaborating with programmers to integrate and test new methods in design software. - Providing technical support to design, manufacturing, quality, and supply chain teams by leveraging your expertise. - Acting as a technical leader by coaching colleagues, sharing knowledge on winding-related topics, and fostering a network of engineering professionals to exchange best practices. Your qualifications should include: - A Master's or Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field, coupled with practical experience. - At least 3 years of experience in Design & Engineering. - Expertise in Power transformers domain. - Proficiency in utilizing various materials and manufacturing methods. - Understanding of electrical, magnetic, and thermal phenomena. - Advanced skills in 3D CAD software Creo/ProE. - Fluency in English, both written and spoken. - Enthusiasm for continuous learning and experimentation without the fear of failure.
