As the Lead Cloud Software Engineer at Mastercard, you will play a crucial role in driving our customer experience strategy forward by consistently innovating and problem-solving. Your passion for the customer experience journey, along with your highly motivated, intellectually curious, analytical, and agile mindset, will be key assets in this role. Your responsibilities will include participating in the implementation of new systems, developing strategic thinking, and creating processes, tools, and frameworks to enhance effectiveness across teams. You will be accountable for the analysis, design, development, and delivery of software solutions, defining requirements for new applications and customizations while adhering to standards, processes, and best practices. Additionally, you will plan and execute maintenance, upgrades, and migrations activities in different environments (Dev, Stage, Prod), design resilient scalable infrastructure to avoid downtime and service interruptions, and interface with external logging, monitoring, and security vendors. Building out infrastructure as code, standard system images, and application images in Docker will also be part of your responsibilities. Furthermore, as a Lead Cloud Software Engineer, you will oversee and provide technical support to junior team members and provide on-call coverage on a rotation basis. Your expertise will be essential in managing medium-sized projects/initiatives, design and develop applications and system interfaces, perform vendor-related activities, and provide technical support to junior team members. To excel in this role, you should possess skills and experience in managing medium-sized projects/initiatives, designing and developing applications, system interfaces, and complete software solutions, overseeing technical support, and demonstrating expertise in AWS Cloud, Kubernetes, Infrastructure as Code, CI/CD, Linux, and other related technologies. Your proficiency in Kubernetes, AWS, Kops/Rancher/EKS, Terraform, CI/CD, Linux, cluster backup and restoration techniques, autoscaling Kubernetes nodes, RBAC configuration, and service mesh will be crucial for success in this position. Additionally, your commitment to corporate security responsibilities, including abiding by security policies, ensuring information confidentiality and integrity, reporting security violations, and completing mandatory security trainings, will be highly valued at Mastercard.
