As the Group Head Chemist in a Thermal Power Plant, you will play a crucial role in maintaining water chemistry to ensure the smooth operations of the plant. Your responsibilities will include overseeing the operations, troubleshooting, and performance evaluation of the Desalination plant. You will be in charge of managing the operational activities related to Raw water, DM water, Cooling water, Effluent water, and Boiler Water treatment in the thermal power plant. Your role will also involve independently handling all analytical work and calibration of laboratory instruments. To excel in this position, you should hold a B.Tech in Chemical Engineering or an M.Sc. in Chemistry, along with 15-20 years of experience in the thermal power plant industry. It is essential to have specific experience in sea water/desalination processes. Role & responsibilities Responsible for entire water system (RO water, Purified water, WFI and PSG) Must have experience in Operation & Maintenance of WFI Water System. Operation & Maintenance of PSG System (Pure Steam Generation system). Preparation and Review of SOP's. Must be able to Prepare Daily, Monthly reports and SAP indents as per site requirements. Taking care for Water system and Utilities compliance during Audit time. Review of Validation Protocols and Reports. Water system commissioning and qualification.
