Manager / Manager - Purchase (RM / PM) Market: USA, EU & Canada Department: Purchase Location: Mumbai Job Profile: Procurement Planning & Strategy: Develop & implement procurement strategies for RM & PM in line with production and commercial requirements for US, EU, and Canadian markets. Execute procurement activities adhering to GMP, USFDA, EMA, Health Canada, and ICH guidelines. Ensure timely availability of materials for new product development, commercial production, and tech transfers. Collaborate with R&D, production, and quality teams to forecast material requirements. Vendor Development & Management: Identify, evaluate, develop, and on board reliable suppliers / vendors for RM & PM in compliance with regulatory and quality standards. Build and maintain strong relationships with domestic and international suppliers. Conduct vendor qualification in collaboration with QA, QC, and Regulatory Affairs. Monitor vendor performance in terms of quality, service, and compliance. Cost Control, Contract Management & Negotiation: Develop long-term contracts with strategic suppliers to ensure material availability and price stability Negotiate with suppliers to obtain the best price, quality, and delivery terms without compromising compliance. Explore cost-saving opportunities through alternate sourcing, process improvement, or inventory optimization. Monitor market trends for RM and PM pricing and availability. Regulatory & Quality Compliance: Ensure all procurement activities comply with GMP, USFDA, EMA, Health Canada and other regulatory standards. Maintain accurate procurement records and documentation, including purchase orders, contracts, and certifications. Ensure all materials and vendors meet international regulatory standards. Cross-functional Collaboration: Coordinate with departments including Production, QA/QC, RA, R&D, and Finance for planning, approvals, and documentation. Support formulation development teams with sourcing for exhibit batches and registration samples. Desired Profile: B.Sc / B.Pharm with 5 to 10 years experience in Pharmaceutical procurement (RM & PM). Preferably with Diploma or Certification in Materials Management / Supply Chain Hands-on experience in sourcing for regulated markets USA, EU, Canada. Exposure in sourcing RM & PM for Topical / Semi Solid Formulations would be added advantage. Expertise in supplier negotiation and vendor relationship management. Understanding of international regulatory requirements (USFDA, EU GMP, Health Canada). Knowledge of regulatory documentation for USA, EU & Canada market (Vendor Certifications). Familiarity with DMFs, vendor certifications, and import/export documentation. Strong negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to make data-driven decisions. High integrity and compliance orientation.
