Receiving and Preparing Items 1. Receive and inspect items for damage or defects 2. Verify items against packing lists and orders 3. Prepare items for packing by removing packaging materials, applying labels, etc. Packing Items 1. Pack items into boxes, containers, or bags 2. Use appropriate packing materials (e.g., bubble wrap, foam inserts) 3. Ensure items are properly secured and protected during transit Labeling and Marking 1. Label packages with shipping information, handling instructions, etc. 2. Apply barcodes, RFID tags, or other tracking labels as needed 3. Mark packages with special handling instructions (e.g., fragile, do not stack) Documenting and Tracking 1. Create and attach shipping documents (e.g., packing lists, invoices) 2. Update inventory records and tracking systems 3. Verify package weights and dimensions for shipping Quality Control 1. Inspect packed items for damage or defects 2. Check packaging for proper sealing, labeling, and handling instructions 3. Ensure packages meet shipping and handling requirements Additional Tasks 1. Maintain a clean and organized workspace 2. Restock packing materials and supplies 3. Assist with inventory management and cycle counting
