✅ Job Description – Purchase Manager (Leather Furniture Industry) Position Title: Purchase Manager Department: Procurement / Supply Chain Location: IMT Manesar Reports to: Director Role Summary: The Purchase Manager will oversee and manage the entire procurement process of raw materials, components, and services required for manufacturing leather furniture. The role ensures cost efficiency, quality compliance, timely supply, and supplier relationship management, aligning with the company’s business objectives. Key Responsibilities: Develop and implement procurement strategies to ensure the availability of raw materials such as leather, foam, wood, fabrics, adhesives, and hardware. Vendor selection, price negotiations, and order placements. Identify, evaluate, and onboard new vendors while maintaining strong relationships with existing suppliers. Negotiate pricing and terms to achieve cost reduction and improve profitability. Verify incoming material quality and coordinate with the quality control team. Maintain purchase orders and related documentation. Follow up with suppliers to ensure timely dispatch and resolution of supply chain issues. Monitor inventory consumption and assist in replenishment planning. Coordinate with internal departments regarding material requirements and lead times. Build long-term relationships with vendors to secure better pricing and supply reliability. Conduct supplier audits and ensure compliance with quality, safety, and environmental standards. Stay updated on market trends, leather pricing, and supply chain disruptions. Qualifications & Skills: Bachelor’s degree. 8+ years of experience in procurement, preferably in the furniture or leather goods industry. Strong negotiation, analytical, and communication skills. Knowledge of leather material specifications, grades, and sourcing channels. Proficient in Tally systems, Google Sheets and MS Excel.
