The ideal candidate will be passionate about search engine optimization and possess a strong understanding of the scientific industry. You will be responsible for developing and implementing effective SEO strategies to improve our online visibility, drive organic traffic to our website, and enhance our digital presence within the scientific community. Key Responsibilities: SEO Strategy & Implementation: Develop, execute, and manage comprehensive SEO strategies, including on-page optimization, off-page optimization, technical SEO, and local SEO. Conduct in-depth keyword research, competitor analysis, and trend analysis specific to the scientific industry. Optimize website content, meta descriptions, title tags, and other on-page elements for search engine rankings. Identify and implement link-building strategies to acquire high-quality backlinks from relevant scientific and industry websites. Perform technical SEO audits and work with development teams to resolve issues such as site speed, crawlability, indexation, and mobile-friendliness. Content Optimization: Collaborate with content creators to ensure all new and existing content is SEO-friendly and aligned with target keywords. Provide recommendations for content improvements based on SEO best practices. Performance Monitoring & Reporting: Monitor, analyze, and report on SEO performance using tools like Google Analytics, Google Search Console, SEMrush, Ahrefs, etc. Track key performance indicators (KPIs) such as organic traffic, keyword rankings, conversion rates, and bounce rates. Generate regular reports on SEO progress and provide actionable insights for improvement. Industry Knowledge: Stay up-to-date with the latest SEO trends, algorithm updates, and best practices, specifically as they relate to the scientific industry. Understand the unique search behaviors and information needs of scientific professionals. Collaboration: Work closely with the marketing, sales, and product teams to ensure SEO efforts align with overall business objectives. Required Skills & Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience). 2+ years of proven experience as an SEO Executive or similar role. Demonstrable experience with SEO in the scientific, pharmaceutical, or technical industry is highly preferred. In-depth knowledge of search engine algorithms and ranking factors. Proficiency with SEO tools such as Google Analytics, Google Search Console, SEMrush, Ahrefs, Moz, Screaming Frog, etc. Strong understanding of on-page, off-page, and technical SEO principles. Experience with keyword research, link building, and content optimization. Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and make data-driven decisions. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Familiarity with HTML, CSS, and website content management systems (CMS) is a plus.
