Role & responsibilities - Market - Responsible for the Market Intelligence for all product lines sold in India (market trends, competitors watch). Responsible to identify and quantify the market potential per product line. Competition analysis (range, service, pricing, Unique Selling Point (USP)) for the product lines sold locally.. Range development- Responsible to identify range gap for each product line. Prepare business case for new references development (market potential, target market share/volumes/sales) Responsible to prepare/adapt the Launch Package for new references (cross-references, technical data, USP) Pricing - Conduct price watch for the Indian market. Propose pricing strategy by product line and channel. Prepare and deploy local price list. Cross-Functional Collaboration- Collaborate with R&D and engineering to design compliant products, initiating new developments. Partner with manufacturing, quality assurance, and supply chain teams to optimize production and inventory Digital / Catalog - Support the OEM/OES/IAM cross-referencing. As a Product Development and Range Development professional, your primary responsibility will be to create new garment styles and embroidery techniques based on themes and trends provided by the buyer. You will collaborate with masters, embroiderers, tailors, and other team members to ensure that the right samples are developed and delivered on time for successful selling. Additionally, you will be involved in developing files of new styles including fabric, laces, embroidery techniques, measurements, and trims for the collection. In terms of Costing & Negotiations, you will be required to submit costings for the sampling range and engage in price negotiations to achieve mutual profitability and meet financial targets. You will also be responsible for ordering greige fabrics once the order is confirmed and coordinating dyeing and printing programs for the orders. Handling Lab Tests will be another crucial aspect of your role where you will ensure compliance with buyer standards by conducting lab tests for all buyers and formatting wash care instructions for each style as per the requirements. Moreover, you will oversee the Sampling & Production process by submitting all approval samples, planning production through critical path/T & A plans, and ensuring timely shipment to meet deadlines. This is a Full-time, Permanent position with a Day shift schedule located in Gurgaon, Haryana. You are expected to have at least 3 years of total work experience, specifically in Merchandising.
