As a Manager Logistics in the Agro Chemical & Fertilizer industry based at Indore MP (HQ), your primary role will be to develop and implement logistics strategies that optimize transportation, distribution, and warehousing processes. You will be responsible for coordinating with suppliers, carriers, and third-party logistics providers to ensure timely delivery of raw materials and components to manufacturing plants. Your key responsibilities will include managing inventory levels, ensuring adequate stock levels of raw materials and finished goods to meet production and customer demand, overseeing scheduling and routing of shipments to minimize transportation costs, and optimizing delivery times. You will also be required to monitor and track logistics performance metrics such as on-time delivery, transportation costs, and inventory accuracy while implementing safety and compliance standards for logistics operations. Additionally, you will lead and develop a team of logistics professionals, providing coaching, training, and performance feedback as needed. Collaboration with cross-functional teams including procurement, production, and sales will be essential to ensure alignment of logistics activities with business objectives. To excel in this role, you should have proven experience in logistics management, preferably in a manufacturing or distribution environment. A strong understanding of transportation and warehousing best practices, including knowledge of relevant regulations and compliance requirements, is required. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, effective leadership and team management abilities, exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, proficiency in logistics management software, and negotiation skills are also key competencies needed for this position. Behavioural competencies such as strategic thinking, adaptability, collaboration, decision-making, and results orientation will be crucial for success in developing long-term logistics strategies, responding effectively to changing business conditions, working collaboratively with cross-functional teams, making timely and informed decisions, and achieving measurable outcomes while continuously improving logistics performance metrics. Your key result areas will revolve around the efficient management of inbound and outbound logistics operations, optimization of transportation and distribution networks, inventory control and warehouse management, compliance with regulatory and safety standards, and leadership and development of the logistics team. Key performance indicators will include on-time delivery performance, transportation cost as a percentage of revenue, inventory turnover ratio, warehouse space utilization rate, safety incident rate, and employee engagement and retention metrics for subordinate staff. In addition to a competitive package of 12 to 14 LPA, you will be entitled to benefits such as cell phone reimbursement and Provident Fund. The job type is full-time with a day shift schedule, and the required qualifications include a Bachelor's degree. You should have a minimum of 10 years of experience in logistics management in Chemical Industries and 10 years of experience in SAP Supply Chain Management in the Chemical segment.
