Job Summary: We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Production Engineer to oversee and optimize the production processes in our telescopic slide manufacturing unit . The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring efficient production planning, maintaining product quality, reducing downtime, improving process flows, and supporting continuous improvement initiatives to meet customer demand and organizational goals. Key Responsibilities: Production Management Plan, schedule, and monitor daily production activities for telescopic slides. Ensure adherence to production targets, timelines, and quality standards. Coordinate with design, quality, and maintenance teams for smooth operations. Process Optimization Identify and implement process improvements for machining, stamping, assembly, and finishing operations. Optimize manpower utilization, material flow, and equipment efficiency. Implement lean manufacturing, 5S, and Kaizen practices. Quality Control Ensure product quality as per industry standards and customer requirements. Work closely with the quality assurance team to reduce rejections and defects. Monitor and analyze rejection data to implement corrective actions. Technical Support & Troubleshooting Resolve technical issues during production and assembly. Work with the maintenance team to minimize machine downtime. Support new product development and prototype trials. Cost & Efficiency Control Monitor production costs and work towards cost reduction initiatives. Control wastage of raw material and improve yield efficiency. Ensure optimum utilization of machinery and tools. Team Management Guide and train operators and supervisors for skill improvement. Ensure compliance with safety standards and SOPs on the shop floor. Drive a culture of discipline, productivity, and accountability. Qualifications & Skills: Education: Diploma / B.E. / B.Tech in Mechanical / Production Engineering or equivalent. Experience: 1–2 years in sheet metal, precision machining, or hardware manufacturing industry (preferably telescopic slides, drawer slides, or related products). Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes such as stamping, bending, machining, plating, and assembly. Familiarity with Roll Forming machines, tool & die, jigs & fixtures, and assembly line operations. Good understanding of quality systems (ISO/TS standards), lean manufacturing, and safety practices. Strong leadership, problem-solving, and communication skills. Key Competencies: Analytical thinking and problem-solving ability. Process orientation with attention to detail.
