Job Title: Vertical Head Operations (Pharmacy & Laboratory Services) Location: Medical College Campus (with regular visits to all city locations) Reporting To: COO or Dean Job Summary The Vertical Head (Operations) will lead and oversee the end-to-end operations of Pharmacy and Laboratory services across multiple locations of the Rajalakshmi Medical College and Hospital. The role focuses on ensuring standardization, operational excellence, regulatory compliance, cost control, and service quality across all units. Key Responsibilities Oversee daily operations of all Pharmacy and Lab units across locations, ensuring efficiency and adherence to institutional protocols. Develop and implement Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for pharmacy and lab operations to ensure consistency and compliance. Coordinate with medical, academic, and administrative teams to support patient care and academic activities. Monitor inventory management, procurement, and distribution to maintain optimal stock levels and cost control. Ensure timely maintenance, calibration, and validation of all laboratory and pharmacy equipment. Drive performance metrics, quality assurance, and internal audits across all centers. Liaise with vendors, suppliers, and regulatory authorities for licensing, inspections, and certifications. Prepare operational budgets and reports for management review. Lead and mentor operational teams, ensuring effective manpower planning, training, and performance monitoring. Initiate process improvement and digitization initiatives to enhance service delivery and patient satisfaction. Qualifications & Experience E ducation: Bachelor’s degree in Pharmacy / Medical Lab Technology / Hospital Administration; Master’s in Healthcare or Hospital Management preferred. Experience: Minimum 10–12 years of experience in healthcare operations with at least 5 years in a leadership role managing multi-location pharmacy and/or laboratory services. Preferred Background : Experience in a medical college, teaching hospital, or large healthcare network.
