Job Description for CAD Draughtsman - Plumbing Position : CAD Draughtsman - Plumbing Qualification : Diploma in Mechanical or Civil Engineering Experience : Minimum 5+ Years Location : Head Office, Hyderabad Key Responsibilities : Drafting and Design : Prepare detailed 2D and 3D CAD drawings for plumbing systems, including water supply, drainage, stormwater, rainwater harvesting, and firefighting layouts. Develop plumbing designs for government buildings, educational institutions, hospitals, and commercial buildings. Technical Coordination : Collaborate with engineers, architects, and project teams to ensure designs comply with project requirements, standards, and local regulations. Interpret design sketches, specifications, and layouts provided by senior engineers. Ensure all designs adhere to local building codes and relevant standards for plumbing and water systems. Incorporate green building practices, such as water conservation and rainwater harvesting, into designs. Prepare detailed material schedules, BOQs (Bill of Quantities), and specifications based on the drawings. Utilize CAD software like AutoCAD, Revit (preferred), and other tools for drafting and modelling. Skills and Experience : Minimum of 5 years of experience as a CAD Draughtsman specializing in plumbing systems. Exposure to government building projects, educational institutions, hospitals, and commercial complexes. Hands-on experience in designing stormwater drainage, rainwater harvesting, and wastewater systems. Strong knowledge of plumbing codes, standards, and sustainable practices. Effective communication and team collaboration skills.
