As an experienced Engineer at Jacobs, you will play a crucial role in planning and designing water supply schemes, costing, coordination, and specifications. Reporting to the Discipline Team Lead/Lead Engineer, your responsibilities will include: - Collaborating with other project team members - Respecting deadlines and achieving targeted results - Analyzing data and bridging gaps - Conducting hydraulic modeling using WaterGEMS - Utilizing hands-on experience with ArcGIS/ArcGIS Pro and AutoCAD - Developing utility corridors/rainbow drawings - Conducting clash analysis and resolution using Navisworks - Experience with SewerGEMS, Infoworks, Civil3D is an added advantage - Developing clean water models to investigate constraints and generate solutions - Master planning water infrastructure for medium to large cities - Implementing pressure zoning (PMA/DMA/DMZ) - Evaluating options and conducting cost estimation - Developing Capital investment plans and Implementation Plans - Preparing presentations and reports - Undertaking project tasks and engineering design at various project life cycle stages - Providing input to Designers/Draftsmen for drawing preparation, reviewing/checking drawings, and guiding designers/draftsmen Requirements for the Engineer-Water position at Jacobs include: - Master planning and hydraulic engineering and design experience on water projects - Bachelor of Engineering degree from a recognized university - Masters in environmental/Water Resource Engineering is an added advantage - 5-8 years of experience in water/wastewater projects with at least 2-4 years in hydraulic modeling on WaterGEMS platform - Performing hydraulic analysis and calculations for medium to large sized cities - Experience in evaluating existing system capacity and developing water supply strategies - Ability to conduct optioneering and multi-criteria analysis - SWOT analysis of selected options and preparing structured reports - Experience in planning utility corridors, pipeline routing, clash checking using Navisworks, and clash resolution for detailed design projects Additionally, you should be able to integrate well with a diverse team, meet project demands, uphold quality standards, bridge data gaps, and adhere to timelines.
