Role Overview: As a Junior ML Engineer, you will be exposed to real-world machine learning systems from day one. You will support model development, testing, and deployment, and also take ownership of core data tasks like ingestion, vectorization, and indexing that form the backbone of the AI search engine. Key Responsibilities: - Assist in Building and Deploying AI Models - Support senior ML engineers in developing search relevance models using LLMs and RAG. - Help test and evaluate embedding quality, ranking performance, and retrieval accuracy. - Contribute to deploying models into production on Azure. - Learn and Grow in a Production AI Environment - Gain exposure to real-world ML workflows used in legal and enterprise search. - Receive mentorship on best practices in model design, deployment, and optimization. - Participate in code reviews, architecture discussions, and technical deep dives. - Build APIs and Contribute to Integration Work - Help create and maintain REST APIs that expose AI-powered search to frontend apps. - Work alongside full-stack engineers to ensure seamless integration of models. - Manage Data Pipelines for Legal Search - Ingest, preprocess, and structure legal documents for AI consumption. - Chunk and generate embeddings from legal texts using pre-trained models. - Continuously update Azure AI Search indexes by ingesting fresh legal data on a regular basis. Qualification Required: - 2-3 years of experience or strong academic projects in ML/NLP/data science. - Strong programming skills in Python and experience with PyTorch or TensorFlow. - Familiarity with LLMs, vector search including Azure AI Search and RAG workflows. - Exposure to FastAPI, Flask, or Azure ML services. - Experience with data processing libraries (Pandas, NumPy, spaCy, NLTK). Additional Details: This is an on-site position for Lucknow, India. The ideal candidate for this role should have experience in designing, building, and deploying end-to-end AI solutions with a focus on Large Language Models (LLMs) and Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) workflows. You should possess extensive knowledge of large language models, natural language processing techniques, and prompt engineering. Additionally, experience with Oracle Fusion Cloud Applications (ERP and HCM) and their AI capabilities is required. Proficiency in developing AI chatbots using Oracle Digital Assistance (ODA), Fusion APIs, Oracle Integration Cloud (OIC), and genAI services is essential. You should also have experience in testing and validation processes to ensure the accuracy and efficiency of models in real-world scenarios. Familiarity with Oracle Cloud Infrastructure or similar cloud platforms is preferred. Excellent communication and collaboration skills are necessary, with the ability to explain complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders. You should have the ability to analyze problems, identify solutions, make decisions, and demonstrate a willingness to learn, adapt, and grow professionally. It would be advantageous to have experience in LLM architectures, model evaluation, and fine-tuning techniques. Hands-on experience with emerging LLM frameworks and plugins such as LangChain, LlamaIndex, VectorStores, Retrievers, LLM Cache, LLMOps (MLFlow), LMQL, Guidance, etc., is a plus. Proficiency in programming languages (e.g., Java, Python) and databases (e.g., Oracle, MySQL), as well as developing and executing AI over cloud data platforms and associated data stores, Graph Stores, Vector Stores, and pipelines, is beneficial. Knowledge of GPU cluster architecture and leveraging parallel processing for accelerated model training and inference is an added advantage. Understanding of security and compliance requirements for ML/GenAI implementations is also desirable.
