We are looking for a highly skilled and experienced Database engineer to join our team for a banking sector project. The ideal candidate must have deep technical expertise in SQL Server administration, query optimization, SSIS management, and job scheduling, along with strong communication and leadership skills to manage and collaborate with various stakeholders. Key Responsibilities: - Administer, maintain, and optimize Microsoft SQL Server databases (2016/2019 or later). - Write, debug, and tune complex T-SQL queries, stored procedures, and functions. - Develop, deploy, and manage SSIS packages for ETL workflows. - Manage and monitor SQL Server Agent jobs, backup/restore operations, and scheduled tasks. - Ensure database security, integrity, stability, and system availability. - Perform database capacity planning, disaster recovery planning, and regular health checks. - Troubleshoot and resolve database issues including performance bottlenecks and outages. - Collaborate with development, infrastructure, and business teams to design scalable and secure database solutions. - Document database designs, procedures, and maintenance routines clearly. - Lead initiatives around database performance tuning and process improvements. - Mentor junior database staff if required and take ownership of database-related deliverables.
