Role & responsibilities: We are seeking an experienced Requirements Migration Specialist to lead the end-to-end migration of requirements data and artifacts from IBM Engineering Requirements Management DOORS Next Generation (DOORS NG) to Jira, including integration with Requirements for Jira (R4J) or other plugins. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of both tools, OSLC standards, and experience in data transformation and Agile/DevOps environments. Key Responsibilities • Assess and Analyze the current DOORS NG environment and artifacts (Modules, Requirements, Links, Attributes, Attachments). • Design a migration strategy to move requirements to Jira (Cloud/Data Center) using tools like: CSV/JSON importers, OSLC REST APIs, Custom scripts (Python/Java), Connectors like Tasktop, Kovair, OpsHub, or custom solutions. • Perform data mapping from DOORS NG artifacts to Jira issue types (Epics, Stories, Tasks, Bugs) and R4J hierarchy. • Ensure migration includes: Requirement structure and hierarchy, Custom attributes, Comments, links, attachments, Traceability matrices. • Develop scripts and reusable frameworks for automation of export/import. • Conduct data validation and user acceptance testing (UAT) with stakeholders. • Collaborate with Business Analysts, Project Managers, and Tool Admins. • Provide documentation, migration logs, and post-migration support. Required Skills and Experience • Strong expertise in IBM DOORS NG and understanding of modules, artifacts, link types, baselines. • Proficiency in Jira (Cloud or Data Center) with experience in R4J or equivalent plugins like Jama Integration, Xray, etc. • Experience with OSLC API, REST API, and data extraction techniques. • Hands-on with Python, Java, or scripting for automation. • Experience in Agile/SAFe delivery environments. • Familiar with tools like Excel, CSV importers, and Atlassian plugin ecosystem. • Good understanding of ALM toolchains and cross-tool integrations. • Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and communication skills.
