Your responsibilities will include designing, developing, testing, and deploying interactive R Shiny web applications. You will collaborate with data scientists, bioinformatics programmers, analysts, and stakeholders to understand application requirements and translate them into intuitive R Shiny applications. Additionally, you will be responsible for translating complex data analysis and visualization tasks into clear and user-friendly interfaces, writing clean and efficient R code, conducting code reviews, and validating R programming. Moreover, you will integrate R Shiny applications with AWS services like AWS Redshift, implement unit tests to ensure quality and performance, benchmark and optimize application performance, and address any inconsistencies in data, analytical, or reporting problems that may arise. Experience with gathering requirements, using RStudio, Version Control software, managing programming code, and working with POSIT Workbench, Connect, and/or Package Manager is preferred. Candidates should have the ability to manage multiple tasks, work independently and in a team environment, effectively communicate technical concepts in written and oral formats, and experience with R markdown, continuous integration/continuous delivery (CI/CD) pipelines, and AWS cloud computing services such as Redshift, EC2, S3, and CloudWatch.
