Responsibilities: Must have knowledge of accounts finalisation, TDS and GST Accounts Finalization: Overseeing the entire accounting cycle, including journal entries, reconciliations, and financial statement preparation. Ensuring accuracy and compliance with accounting standards (GAAP or IFRS). Preparing and analyzing financial statements (profit and loss, balance sheet, cash flow). Coordinating with auditors for annual audits. TDS (Tax Deducted at Source): Calculating and deducting TDS on various payments as per income tax regulations. Generating TDS certificates and returns. Maintaining TDS records and reconciling with tax authorities. Staying updated with TDS-related changes in tax laws. GST (Goods and Services Tax): Ensuring compliance with GST regulations. Preparing and filing GST returns (GSTR-1, GSTR-3B, etc.). Handling input tax credit and reconciliations. Dealing with GST audits and assessments. Understanding GST implications on various business transactions. General Accounting: Maintaining day-to-day accounting records. Handling accounts payable and receivable. Bank reconciliations. Fixed asset management. Assisting with budgeting and forecasting.
