R & D MANAGER

You will be responsible for the strategic development of fragrances for all brands and innovative projects in Hair Care, Skin Care, and Male Grooming for both the India and International Markets. This includes understanding and decoding the olfactive expectations of consumers, creating fragrance technical briefs, directing Fragrance Houses for fragrance development, and evaluating fragrances and modifications in the base. Additionally, you will provide assistance to the team in comprehending and evaluating new fragrance technologies and their benefits to products. Arranging fragrance consumer tests for the region will also be part of your responsibilities. Furthermore, you will explore in-house cost-effective perfume creations of natural and synthetic origins and possess a working knowledge of perfume manufacture and scale-ups. In the area of perfumery capability, your duties will include team building, mentoring, competition benchmarking, regular market scans for olfactive trends, developing new testing methodologies/protocols, setting up olfaction panels, expert evaluation of data with predictions for consumer likeability, liaison with various departments for executions, knowledge management, and benchmarking fragrance trends both in India and globally. Your skills and competencies should include fragrance evaluation and olfaction skills, creative and analytical writing of perfumery formulations, domain knowledge, fragrance chemistry, application to personal care or related adjacencies, ability to lead projects in consumer and fragrance areas, awareness and appreciation of global fragrance trends, knowledge of principles in chemistry, life sciences, and psychology, coordination and planning skills, sensitivity to the business environment, growth and entrepreneurial mindset, and risk-taking ability. This is a full-time, permanent position with a day shift schedule. A Master's degree is preferred for this role, and the work location is in person.,
