Applications are invited from motivated and eligible candidates for the post of Junior Research Fellow (JRF) to work on Anusandhan National Research Foundation (ANRF) funded research project. The title of the project is "Topology in heritage: Influence and manifestation of electron topology in bosons." The project aims to study the influence of topological properties of electrons on the collective excitations involving bosonic quasiparticles such as phonons, magnons, and plasmons. The post is purely temporary in nature with an initial appointment for six months, extendable up to 3 years based on satisfactory performance. Essential qualification for the position includes an M.Sc. in Physics from recognized universities/institutes with a minimum of first class and with GATE/CSIR-UGC JRF/NET-LS qualification. Desired qualifications include an overall good academic record, sound analytical skills, and knowledge of basic programming. The selected JRF candidate will have the opportunity to register for a regular PhD program in the Department of Physics, provided the candidate satisfies the eligibility criterion. The fellowship for the position is Rs. 37,000/- per month for the 1st and 2nd year and Rs. 42,000/- per month for the 3rd year.
