The position requires overseeing Procurement, Sourcing, Vendor management, and Logistics optimization to ensure efficient operations. Responsibilities include Strategic Material Sourcing, Supplier relationship management, and inventory control. Analyzing past performance data to forecast needs and production scheduling to meet budgeted targets of plants is essential. Enhancing logistics efficiency, managing costs, mitigating risks, and driving continuous process improvement are crucial for seamless supply chain operations aligned with business goals. Developing strategies, policies, procedures, and guiding the team to optimize the value of procurement, sourcing, and logistics across all engineering business verticals is a key responsibility. Setting measurable targets for supply chain performance, managing the supply chain budget, developing risk mitigation plans, and maintaining strategic relationships with key suppliers are important aspects of the role. Identifying and implementing new technologies, staying updated with industry trends, aligning operations with customer needs, and implementing performance monitoring systems are also part of the responsibilities. Collaborating closely with Sales, Production, Finance, and other stakeholders, ensuring order compliance, establishing KPIs, managing supplier performance, overseeing logistics and distribution network, and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements are crucial tasks. Building and developing skilled teams, providing leadership and managerial support, coaching and mentoring team members, fostering a collaborative culture, and defining and monitoring team performance targets are essential for this role. Qualifications required for this role include being a Full-time Graduate Engineer (B.E.) preferably in Mechanical, an MBA from Premiere Institutes, minimum 20+ years of experience with strategic sourcing experience in Auto Tier -1, understanding of dealing with Entrepreneurial/Family managed suppliers, automotive product knowledge, domestic and global sourcing understanding, leadership skills, knowledge of commodities and components, problem-solving skills, and knowledge of manufacturing processes. Overall, the role entails overseeing and optimizing various aspects of the supply chain function, ensuring seamless operations, strategic sourcing, and efficient logistics management to meet business objectives.,
