Quality Inspector

Key responsibilities

• Perform inspections: Inspect raw materials, components, and finished products at various stages of production.
• Test products: Conduct tests to identify defects and ensure products meet performance criteria.
• Use measurement tools: Operate tools such as calipers, gauges, and micrometers to verify dimensions and specifications.
• Review documentation: Read blueprints, specifications, and other documents to ensure production processes are followed correctly.
• Document findings: Record and report any defects, deviations, or non-conformities.
• Recommend improvements: Suggest adjustments to the assembly or production process to improve quality.
• Accept or reject products: Make decisions on whether products meet quality standards and remove those that fail to comply.
• Collaborate with teams: Work with production and management to address quality issues and implement corrective actions.
• Enforce standards: Monitor and enforce compliance with quality control policies and procedures.

Essential skills and qualifications

• Technical skills: Proficiency with measurement tools, electronic inspection equipment, and the ability to interpret blueprints.
• Problem-solving: Ability to quickly identify issues and recommend solutions.
• Attention to detail: Meticulous focus on ensuring every detail meets high standards.
• Communication: Strong written and verbal skills to document findings and communicate with other staff.
• Education: A high school diploma is often sufficient, but some positions may require an associate's or bachelor's degree, especially in complex industries.
• Experience: Prior experience in a quality assurance or manufacturing role is beneficial.
• Certifications: Industry-specific certifications, like those from the American Society for Quality (ASQ), can enhance employability.

Pay: ₹20,000.00 - ₹35,000.00 per month
