Job Description

As a Quality Inspector, your primary responsibility will be to inspect raw materials, in-process components, and finished products to ensure they meet both company and customer quality standards. You will be utilizing ERP systems for data entry, reporting, and tracking quality metrics. Collaboration with production and engineering teams will be essential to maintain high product quality standards in the automotive components sector. Key Responsibilities: - Conduct incoming, in-process, and final inspections of components and products. - Utilize precision measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers, and gauges to verify dimensions and specifications. - Identify defects and deviations, ensuring compliance with company quality standards and customer requirements. - Perform root cause analysis and recommend corrective actions for non-conforming products. - Execute First Article Inspections (FAI) and Production Part Approval Process (PPAP) evaluations. - Enter inspection data and quality reports into the ERP system. - Maintain accurate records of rejected parts, rework, and corrective actions within the ERP. - Generate and analyze quality reports from the ERP for decision-making purposes. - Assist in updating and maintaining ERP modules related to quality control. - Ensure adherence to ISO 9001, IATF 16949, and other industry-specific quality standards. - Manage and update inspection checklists, test reports, and control plans. - Collaborate closely with the Quality Manager to ensure compliance with customer audits and regulatory requirements. - Coordinate with production, procurement, and engineering teams to resolve quality issues. - Participate in Kaizen, 5S, and Continuous Improvement initiatives. - Recommend process improvements and inspection techniques to enhance efficiency. Required Qualifications & Skills: - Education: Diploma/Degree in Mechanical, Industrial, or Production Engineering. - Experience: 2-5 years in quality inspection, preferably in an automotive components manufacturing setup. - Technical Skills: - Proficiency in measuring instruments and GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing). - Familiarity with quality tools like FMEA, SPC, and 8D problem-solving. - Experience working with ERP systems for quality reporting and data entry. - Soft Skills: - Attention to detail and strong analytical skills. - Effective communication and teamwork abilities.
