Quality Inspector / Optical Sorting Machine Operator

As a Quality Inspector / Machine Operator at our company located in Khijadiya, Jamnagar - Rajkot Hwy, your role will involve operating, setting, and maintaining Optical Sorting Machines (One-Piece Checking Machines). You will be responsible for performing routine quality inspections, documentation, and rejection control to ensure consistent quality standards on the shop floor. **Key Responsibilities:** - Operate and monitor Optical Sorting Machines (5 machines) for one-piece checking. - Set and adjust machines as per item/product specifications. - Perform basic troubleshooting and maintenance of Optical Sorting Machines. - Conduct hourly quality checks on machines and products. - Record inspection results, rejection data, and maintain quality documentation. - Coordinate with the Quality Manager to control rejections and implement corrective actions. - Support and maintain 5S and workplace discipline. - Ensure compliance with ISO standards, customer requirements, and company policies. - Work closely with operators and production staff to maintain smooth machine operation and quality output. **Qualifications & Skills:** - Education: ITI / Diploma in Mechanical, Electrical, Mechatronics, or related field. - Experience: 1-3 years in machine operation, setting, or maintenance (experience in Optical Sorting Machines preferred). **Technical Skills:** - Knowledge of Optical Sorting / Vision Inspection Machines. - Ability to set, operate, and troubleshoot machines. - Understanding of quality inspection processes and rejection control. - Familiarity with 5S, ISO standards, and documentation practices. In this role, you will be working in a shop floor-based environment from 9:00 AM to 7:00 PM, with 6 days a week schedule and Friday off. Your performance will be measured based on machine uptime, correct setting for different items, accuracy of sorting and inspection results, timely and accurate documentation, reduction in rejection and rework percentage, and compliance with 5S and safety standards.
