Quality Incharge

Role Summary

The Quality Incharge is a hands-on quality lead responsible for ensuring that every woven and knitted garment entering and exiting the production floor meets Oshadi’s rigorous quality standards from fabric and trims to final packing. This person acts as the operational bridge between production, finishing, and the quality team.

Key Responsibilities

Pre-Production

• Inspect incoming fabrics, threads, zippers, buttons, labels, trims before stitching begins.
• Ensure correct trims are issued as per buyer tech packs.

During Production

• Perform inline quality checks at critical operations.
• Guide tailors to identify and correct common stitching defects.
• Ensure consistency in sewing quality and workmanship.

End-Line Inspection

• Conduct 100% checking of stitched garments for:
• Accurate measurements
• Trim/label/button positioning
• Seam strength and finishing
• Loose threads, stains, and uncut extras

Final Packing Check

• Inspect final garments for:
• Pressing quality and cleanliness
• Folding accuracy
• Tag, barcode, and packing bag correctness
• Carton packing and labeling

Reporting

• Maintain a daily rejection and rework log
• Tag and segregate defective pieces
• Submit weekly defect trends to the Quality Manager

Skills & Attributes

• High attention to detail and sharp observation
• Strong knowledge of garment stitching and finishing
• Basic understanding of tech packs and spec sheets
• Ability to communicate clearly with tailors and production team
• Calm and solution-oriented under pressure

KPIs (Performance Metrics)

• Reduced defect rate at end-line
• Lower rework and rejection %
• Fewer quality issues reported in finishing and packing
• Timely reporting and issue escalation
• Improved buyer satisfaction with outgoing garments

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
